She started as a receptionist and then successfully transitioned to dispensing about 5 years ago and so, she has a ton of experience and style advice to give patients when picking out their frames and lenses. Last year she completed her Optometric Assistant course and is fully certified. She is a huge team player and a great asset to the team.

This is one of two Kelly’s on our Family Eyecare Centre team. She’s Kelly 1 or Kelly 2 (depending who you ask). But if you’re looking for her specifically it’s recommended that you ask for Kelly H.Kelly is a born and raised island girl. She leapt in the optical world in 2015 – by accident really. She thought she was applying to be a receptionist but we trained her as an optical dispenser instead. After a year of dispensing she got her foot in the door to Vision Therapy and there’s no stopping her now. She is our fully certified Vision Therapist and you can hear her laugh from every corner of our office. You can usually hear her discussing family, soccer, travel, dogs, and lunch. Mainly lunch.
Kelly was born in beautiful Victoria and returned after many years living in various cities such as Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.Kelly joined Family Eyecare Centre with 15 plus years’ experience in the Optometric profession, as an Optometric Assistant in 2015. She coordinates the Blephex Treatment and Dry Eye program and is passionate about improving the quality of patient’s eyes and lives.Kelly is always helping patients, be it with pretesting, visual fields, picking out new frames or booking annual eye exam. She loves to connect with patients on a personal level and make what can sometimes be stressful situations into relaxed and enjoyable ones.
Kim grew up in the Okanagan but has called Victoria home for the last 30 years. In 2016 she earned her diploma in Office Administration from Camosun College, and soon after was hired at Family Eyecare Centre. Some of Kim's responsibilities here are reception, booking appointments, pre-testing patients, Care1 referrals and Dry Eye Clinic. On her days off Kim enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Abi is the residential Brit of the bunch (often mistaken for Australian but she is not). Abi joined the team in April 2017 and has not looked back. She has dabbled in many areas of the practice, including the front desk, dispensing, helping Kiran choose new frames, and Vision Therapy. Currently she is a full-time dispenser—enrolled in a course to be a certified Optometric Assistant, and does Vision Therapy part time. When she is not helping patients, she is either updating the practice’s Instagram or Facebook page, or cleaning.
Abi loves Dairy Milk chocolate and hiking.
Neetu joined the office in November 2018. Starting off part-time, she was too good to not have her as a full-time team member. She was born in India and has made Canada her home since 2014. You’ll find her either at the front desk, ready to help patients and always wearing a smile or, you may find her on our social media pages as our new Family Eyecare Centre Instagram model. On her days off, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, shopping.
Anita first joined the practice in 1988, but by popular demand has returned after a brief break from the office. Like several other members of staff, she began working with us at the front desk and then further expanded her skillset in dispensing. She loves working with patients and listening to their stories. Anita fulfills our workforce by joining us on Saturdays, but her teamwork spirit is felt throughout the week.
