Dr. Judith LeRoy

Dr. LeRoy grew up on a small farm in Eastern Ontario. She attended the University of Waterloo and graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degree in 1998. While attending the University of Waterloo, Judith became quite involved with varsity athletics and competed for 5 yrs on both the track and cross-country running teams.

Dr. Nazima Sangha

Originally from the West Coast, earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with Honours from UBC and a Doctorate of Optometry from the Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. With great pleasure she joined the team at the Family Eyecare Centre in 2010.

Dr. Brendan Wallace

Dr. Wallace grew up in the Okanagan where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree at UBC with Honours. He then completed his Doctorate of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 2017 and moved to Victoria with his wife in 2019. He loves the outdoors, cooking and spending time with his family.

Carleen

Carleen is our Family Eyecare Centre Office Manager, and has been with us since August 2015. Her background in nursing led to the optical world over 20 years ago and she is a Certified Optometric Assistant. Her extensive background has taken her through Saskatchewan, Canmore, Banff, the Cayman Islands, and now she’s happily found her forever home in Victoria. Carleen can be found working behind the scenes making sure our office is organized and running smoothly to ensure our patient care is top-notch! If you cannot find her, just follow her contagious laughter that echoes throughout the office.

Kiran

Besides Dr. Leroy Kiran has been here the longest, which is nearly 10 years!! Kiran is the fun one, who chooses the frames (among other very important jobs). She started as a receptionist and then successfully transitioned to dispensing about 5 years ago and so, she has a ton of experience and style advice to give patients when picking out their frames and lenses. Last year she completed her Optometric Assistant course and is fully certified. She is a huge team player and a great asset to the team.
Kiran is passionate about her family and loves to do office Timmies runs in the early mornings!

Kelly H

This is one of two Kelly’s on our Family Eyecare Centre team. She’s Kelly 1 or Kelly 2 (depending who you ask). But if you’re looking for her specifically it’s recommended that you ask for Kelly H.Kelly is a born and raised island girl. She leapt in the optical world in 2015 – by accident really. She thought she was applying to be a receptionist but we trained her as an optical dispenser instead. After a year of dispensing she got her foot in the door to Vision Therapy and there’s no stopping her now. She is our fully certified Vision Therapist and you can hear her laugh from every corner of our office.You can usually hear her discussing family, soccer, travel, dogs, and lunch. Mainly lunch.

Kelly K

Kelly was born in beautiful Victoria and returned after many years living in various cities such as Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.Kelly joined Family Eyecare Centre with 15 plus years’ experience in the Optometric profession, as an Optometric Assistant in 2015. She coordinates the Blephex Treatment and Dry Eye program and is passionate about improving the quality of patient’s eyes and lives.Kelly is always helping patients, be it with pretesting, visual fields, picking out new frames or booking annual eye exam. She loves to connect with patients on a personal level and make what can sometimes be stressful situations into relaxed and enjoyable ones.

Kim

Kim grew up in the Okanagan but has called Victoria home for the last 30 years. In 2016 she earned her diploma in Office Administration from Camosun College, and soon after was hired at Family Eyecare Centre. Some of Kim's responsibilities here are reception, booking appointments, pre-testing patients, Care1 referrals and Dry Eye Clinic. On her days off Kim enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Georgia

Georgia, like Kim grew up in the Okanagan and has called Victoria her home for the last couple years. She is mainly at reception, however you might catch her sometimes helping patients with frames. Her creative expertise extends to social media and the wonderful window displays. Georgia’s hobbies include, but are not limited to: music, travel and fashion. You can always find her at Murchies or trying new vegan restaurants.

Vickie

Originally from Winnipeg, Vickie moved here 3 years ago to enjoy the beautiful weather that Victoria is known for. Vickie is currently taking the Optometric Assistant course. When not studying on the weekend, she is on one of the many trails that the island has to offer.

Noelle

Noelle has been a part of the Family Eyecare team for almost 2 years now. Although She has spent time in other provinces, she has a special place in her heart for Victoria. With a spunky attitude and a warm smile, Noelle is an integral part of the clinic. She is one of our dry eye specialists and a contact lens coach. Noelle is currently studying to become a certified optometric assistant in Canada.
